Using License Registration

Important: The unlocking key that you purchase is designed to unlock only the number of user licenses obtained, and is tied exclusively to the company information on file. If you change ANY of this information (including periods, spaces, etc), you must obtain a new unlocking key that matches this information.

Once you have purchased your users' licenses, the Net•Yieldsales department will supply you with the system license registration and unlocking key. Refer to this information to unlock your system according to the following fields.

1. When you first select the License Registration option, command options will appear allowing you to change your registration information or to exit the option. Select Change to make changes (or select Exit to exit the option). Use the Enter, Tab or arrow keys to navigate between the fields. Make the necessary changes and press Enter when finished.

2. When you are finished, use the Enter, Tab or arrow keys to navigate through the remaining fields.

Note: If you discover an error in the unlocking information (such as a typo or a misspelled name), please call the sales department to obtain a new key. You may continue to use the existing key, but you need to enter the information EXACTLY as it was provided to you.

• Company Name – Your company's name and the name of the licensee
• Address – Your company's address
• City, State, Zip – You company's city, state, and zip code
• Phone – Your company's phone number
• Fax – Your company's fax number
• Date Licensed – The date of purchase as stated on the licensing information sheet
• License Number – The license number
• Users – The number of user licenses purchased
• Rental – This field indicates whether the license is a rental license or not. N = No, Y = Yes
• Key – The unlocking key (provided to you by the Net•Yield sales department).
  • A check digit (or "lock") will appear to the right of the key. If it matches the lock on the system registration form and if the information appears exactly as depicted, you will be able to unlock your system. If it does not match, you will get an error message: "Invalid key!!! Press Space bar." Select Change and re-enter the information. If you still cannot successfully unlock the system, contact the sales department for assistance.
• Trace Key - This field is require to unlock the advanced inventory tracing features required by third-party reporting services. The Trace key can be obtained by contacting the Net•Yield sales department at 800-352-6463 or sales@NetYield.com.

3. A list of command options will appear: select Update to save your changes, or select Exit to exit the option without saving changes.

• If you have successfully entered all of the information, the system will advise you that the registration has been successful and will return you to the main menu.
• If there is a problem, it is most often due to mistyping some of the information. Remember - ALL information must be entered EXACTLY as shown on the license information form.

Note: If you need to change any of the registration information, you must get a new unlocking key first. Then you can re-enter the information above to match the new information set.
